Archello is seeking a managing editor to join its team remotely.
Archello is looking for an ambitious managing editor with experience in writing, editing and coordinating articles on contemporary architecture.
At Archello – a fast-growing online architecture platform – we’re expanding our editorial team to produce more original content to engage professionals around the world.
We are looking for a managing architecture editor to become part of our editorial team.
Responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating the workflow of our freelance editors from all over the world
- Coaching the freelance editors in the quality of their work
- Planning the headlines of the homepage of Archello
- Writing strands of articles in which current themes in the architecture and interior architecture field are developed, such as building in wood, biobased building, nature inclusive design, densification of cities, health driven design
- Writing news articles based on press releases
- Writing longer articles on the materialisation and detailing of architecture projects
The ideal candidate:
- Must be fluent in English with excellent writing and editing skills
- Has a proven record of writing lively and immaculate copy
- Is self-starting and loves to see the engagement around the work grow
- Enjoys the dynamic of an editorial office and loves to swiftly write and edit articles
- Knows the world of architecture; the current developments, the leading characters, the debate, and so on
Archello is headquartered in Amsterdam, has offices in Toronto and Milan, and has a growing and ambitious team working from all over the world.
