Project architect

PDP London are seeking a project architect to join its team in London.
We are looking for a project architect with strong technical and site experience to join our practice in Victoria, London. You will be working on a landmark project.
Key responsibilities:
- responsible for the day-to-day running of major/multiple projects within the parameters agreed with the senior members of the team
- provide excellent design skills, technical advice and robust and cost effective solutions to meet clients’ needs and achieve client satisfaction
- manages the project team’s deliverables under the guidance of the team leader, and identifies resourcing needs
- uses effective day-to-day management and guidance to co-ordinate the project team and the consultant teams
- manages and motivates the project team effectively to ensure project delivery on time, within budget and to the required quality and brief
- communicating with the senior members of the team on job progress and studio resourcing issues (including holiday cover)
- line management of junior members of the team, and following up actions and personal development activities set
- contributes to practice wide initiatives, which further the delivery of the business plan
Skills, knowledge and expertise:
- site experience at Stage 4 and 5 – this is an essential requirement
- three to five year’s post qualification experience
- knowledge of fire safety regulations
- waterproofing experience
- proficiency in Revit and fluency in Microsoft packages
- able to demonstrate construction knowledge
- experience of collaborating with site and project managers
- experience of successfully working on complex projects
- expertise in construction drawings and construction details
- strong knowledge of codes, practice standards, and industry expectations
- proficient working knowledge of UK legal and statutory regulations and processes
- good communication and teamwork skills
- the ability to communicate successfully with stakeholders in the project
- strong design and drawing skills
- a proactive and enthusiastic attitude, and a willingness to contribute to wider practice groups and activities
- experience and knowledge of contact administration and legal issues and ability to undertake relevant requirements
- has confidence liaising with clients, contractors and other professionals and has the ability to develop strong relationships with them
- demonstrable experience in running a small project team
