Customers are at the heart of what we do. We establish how best to identify them, understand them and respond to their needs as a collegiate, multi-disciplinary and data-inspired collective.
The Design Director will play a critical role in translating the new brand values into a new set of physical design principles. Working closely with the Chief Marketing Officer and her team and the CDDO, you will develop Brand Design Guidelines ultimately capable of being exported globally.
What you can expect as our design director:
- lead and inspire the in-house design team and our external designers
- day to day you will work closely on all levels with the chief design and development officer identify the best external designers for us to work with, seek emerging and fresh talent and those with the best fit for the project, to help enrich our designs
- act as the internal design client to sign off design decisions relating to each project and in particular design drivers, look and feel, finishes, and FF&E selection prior to presentation to the CEO, Investors and external Joint Venture partners for Gateway Milestone sign offs
- own and evolve the brand design guidelines own the creative design process and responses in the eyes of our investors and executive, the broader business and those outside the business
- flex the design function as required to respond to changes in the corporate business plan e.g. scale, pace, geographical diversity, differential products and pricing strategies
We’d love to hear from you if you’ve got:·
- ARB registered architect or BA in interior design or interior architecture MA in relevant design course an advantage
- deep understanding of and track record in delivering premium customer experience e.g. in hotels, airlines, hospitality, retail is essential
- understanding if not experience of the flexible workspace sector
- knowledge and experience of brand design strategies and rollouts, preferably premium to luxury with a high focus on customer experience
- ability to work efficiently under pressure, across multiple projects in a fast growing and dynamic business environment
