Haberdashery London is looking for an international sales manager to join its team in London, UK.
Haberdashery London is an award-winning London-based design studio and lighting brand. With the introduction of new product collections and growing recognition within the international lighting market we are expanding the sales team to meet the requirements of our customers and deliver future growth.
About the role
We are looking for a passionate, motivated and driven sales representative with exceptional attention to detail to work within the sales team, reporting to the senior sales manager.
The core responsibilities of this role will be:
- understand and focus on customer’s requirements in terms of schedule, product quality and communication
- drive sales and business development internationally with a high degree of autonomy
- extend the customer base in the company’s priority target markets
- maximise the sales, margin, turnover and volume with the existing and newly to be developed customers
- raise quotations/invoices and manage customer payments
- distribute sales literature, samples etc as required to customers
- oversee projects internally from brief to dispatch whilst building a positive and long-term relationship with the client
- ensure the best service possible is given to customers by working effectively with design, production and logistics teams
- follow up on disputes and commercial complaints in order to assure positive and profitable customer relations
- seek and analyse market feedback and provide it to management in a timely and succinct fashion
- compile sales KPI reporting (weekly/monthly) and participate in sales performance review discussions with management
- assist with the company presentation at the trade fairs
- involvement in the marketing strategy, drafting and distribution of sales material
Candidate profile:
- experience of two to four years in a sales position in the design world, ideally in lighting
- strong affinity towards the design industry and luxury goods market
strong commercial acumen, highly numerate - hands-on mentality and able to work autonomously
- excellent communication and negotiation skills
- good working knowledge of MS Office (Excel), G-Suite (google mail and sheets, calendar etc) and Sage (preferred but not essential)
- language skills: fluency in English plus French, Spanish and/or Italian
You must be entitled to work in the UK. Salary dependent on experience
