Personal assistant
at David Chipperfield Architects
David Chipperfield Architects is looking for a personal assistant to join its team in London.
The personal assistant (PA) role is a core team administration role, which is central in providing wide ranging admin support globally to the group offices in London, Milan, Berlin, Shanghai, Santiago de Compostela and Fundación RIA.
We are looking for someone who enjoys the day-to-day variety of tasks that comes with being a strong administrator whether it be admin, travel or diary management focused. The role would suit someone who is a confident communicator, who enjoys collaborating at all levels and who thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key duties include:
- general admin support: ensure accuracy of information and processes, such as maintaining and organising systems, managing postal activities, and electronic filing of documentation
- travel management: as a global practice and in a post-Covid world, travel strengthens our ability to design on the world stage by building strong and lasting connections with others. The PA role enables this to happen, ensuring that director’s travel, whether in Europe or internationally, is organised and is a smooth process from start to end, from taxi pickups to the moment of arrival
- diary preparation: effective organisation of meetings to ensure time is spent where needed most. Clear forward planning, thinking one step ahead to mitigate any potential hurdles and ensuring that those involved in meetings are appropriately briefed and prepared for meetings is a central part of the PA role
On top of a competitive salary, David Chipperfield Architects offers staff a wide range of benefits including medical cash insurance plan, pension and parental leave provision, private healthcare, employee assistance programme, cycle-to-work scheme and interest-free TfL season ticket loans. The practice has an active internal culture that includes talks and events as well as staff diversity groups to promote awareness and equity around gender, LGBTQ+ and racial equality. There is a core hours policy allowing for flexible start/end times to the working day and hybrid working allows staff to work from home some days.
