Studio coordinator
at Johnson Pinney Architects

Mark Pinney Associates is looking for a studio coordinator to join its team in London.

The successful candidate will support the studio manager in the daily administration of the studio (60%) as well as work collaboratively with the business development consultant and the senior team to run the social media grids and arrange the business development event calendar (40%).

The role requires experience in administrative support and an interest in business development and marketing. This person must be highly organised and have strong written and verbal communication skills.

Role responsibilities:

  • supporting the studio manager
  • liaising with studio suppliers and organising maintenance contracts
  • coordinating with property managers and cleaners
  • archiving project and administrative files
  • ordering office supplies and weekly shops
  • occasional organisation and coordination of senior management calendars
  • CPD coordinator
  • ensuring the studio is presentable for client meetings
  • office health and safety maintenance (under guidance)
  • aiding the upkeep of the sample library
  • answering phone calls and taking messages where needed
  • organising and recording postage, deliveries, couriers and taxis
  • maintain and update the image, project, new business and press databases
  • ensure the website and social media accounts are up to date
  • attending/coordinating/engaging with industry events and industry update
  • promoting the practice via social media, writing posts and gathering photos/videos
  • assist the senior team with the production of marketing strategy
  • attend monthly reviews of the business development strategy and provide minutes and progress reports
  • coordinating the studio event calendar
  • occasionally writing copy for social media posts

Skills and attributes

  • excellent communication skills
  • excellent writing skills, with an ability to proofread
  • proficiency in InDesign and Photoshop is preferred but not essential
  • ability to represent the firm to visitors, clients and consultants
  • attention to detail and problem-solving
  • self-motivated and enthusiastic about great design, graphics and layout
  • flexibility/team player – a willingness to use their own initiative
  • experience working to short deadlines and balancing competing priorities
  • experience of representing a company at external events
  • ability to build and maintain highly effective working relationships with a range of people both externally and internally

The job is full-time. Salary will be dependent on experience.
