What we’re looking for
VMI Studio is searching for a skilled and experienced senior Unreal artist looking to join a growing production team creating interactive experiences and digital assets for the property and arts sectors.
Essential requirements:
- proficient in the use of Unreal Engine, including its 3D modelling, texturing and animation tools, familiar with the Unreal Engine’s physics and lighting engines as well as its ability to connect to real-world data
- strong skills in blueprinting, sequencer, Niagara, blackboard, animation locomotion and knowledge of the new feature of ue5. This is essential for creating complex and interactive digital twins. Unreal artists need to be able to use these tools to create systems that can be controlled and manipulated in real time
- passionate about Unreal Engine and its potential to create digital twins, excited about the challenges of creating digital twins and committed to using their skills to make a positive impact
- ability to think critically and solve problems creatively. They will often be faced with challenges when creating digital twins, such as how to represent complex data in a way that is easy to understand
- excellent communication skills, able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, explain complex concepts in a way that is easy to understand and collaborate with other team members to create a successful digital twin
- understanding and attention to architectural drawings
- preferably with three plus years of experience in Unreal
- right to work in the UK
Desirable but not essential:
- Houdini and Unreal Blueprints VR knowledge
- architecture visualisation experience using 3ds Max, V-ray and/or Corona
