Casa Bella Developments is looking for a planner/planning manager to join its team in London.

Job description

As planning manager, you will:

• provide support to the directors for all planning related matters
• liaise with all project design team members, local authorities and all other planning stakeholders for all planning related matters
• prepare regular progress updates for management and stakeholders review
• liaise with planning officials and third party planning consultants and advise management on planning policy and regulation, ensuring that all planning related resources are in place and that planning compliance is being met
• assist management with evaluating new sites in terms of establishing development potential within planning constraints
• have a keen eye on programme and work closely with the in-house project manager in collectively playing key roles in supporting the successful delivery of planning compliant new developments

The ideal candidate should:

• have the legal right to work in the UK
• possess a thorough knowledge and understanding of the UK planning system, having managed the planning process for medium-scale residential led developments (circa 150 to 200 dwelling projects) including build to rent and co-living projects
• have confident written and verbal communication skills, to deliver planning advice that assists with strategy development, decision-making and problem solving
• have experience with assisting developer clients in establishing project specific needs, consultant’s scope, consultant’s selection and aiding consultant appointments
• be proficient in using MS Office

In addition, it would also be beneficial – but not essential – if the candidate has:

• passed their APC and have been elected as a chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute
