Millimetre is hiring a technical draftsperson to join its team in Brighton, UK.

The role

Your function will primarily be technical drafting for production, including generating 2D and 3D workshop manufacturing drawings – developed in close liaison with project directors, project managers and production managers.

Your duties will include:

• generating sketches, renders and other materials relevant to the development of designs and tenders
• assistance with design development of project work
• assistance with working up materials/component specifications
• assistance with the day-to-day management of projects under the guidance of senior project managers, including in-house production and sub contracted work
• assistance with estimating of project costs in close liaison with project directors

You will ideally be:

• competent in the production of workshop/manufacturing drawings; ideally for timber and metalwork production
• proficient in reading and scrutinising architectural and workshop production drawings
• highly skilled in the use of software including AutoCAD, Rhino and/or SolidWorks

Qualifications and experience:

• a formal qualification in architecture or a 3D or product design related discipline; this may be a degree level qualification such as 3D design or a vocational qualification such as an NVQ or City and Guilds Level 4 or higher
• at least three years proven relevant experience
