Run For The Hills is seeking a studio manager to join its team in London.
We are a super creative, award-winning branding and interior design studio, fashioning exciting and unique commercial, hospitality (F&B) and residential design projects in the UK and overseas.
We are on the hunt for a dynamic, highly professional and amazingly well-organised studio manager to join our team. You will be the ‘go-to’ person and one of the key faces at Run For The Hills, keeping the day-to-day of the studio running smoothly, driving the operational, project finance and admin side of the studio. You will work alongside the creative directors and with support from Run For The Hills’ book-keepers, accountants and business team.
Your track record
You will need to have fantastic studio management skills and bags of experience, ideally within a creative or design company environment. Bags of experience being in a client and director-facing role, super discreet and trustworthy. On a personality front, we love friendly, positive, glass half-full, can-do people.

Key responsibilities:
Project support:
- involvement in setting up projects and formal paperwork
- studio resource planner
- planning client deadlines and internal deadlines
- reminders and admin preparation for delivering deadlines
- tick reporting and analysis (full training given)
- diarising assistance with printing design presentations
- client session set up/Zoom and studio prep for meetings
- assistance with FF&E specification, procurement/supplier liaison
- assistance with project reconciliation
- design background unlocks wider involvement in projects
Finance support:
- creating, sending and following up on invoices
- running reports and tracking prospects in Xero
- payment control/following up on invoices and payables
- liaison with the book-keepers
- organising expenses and petty cash etc
Client and sales/marketing support:
- new business tracking in Pipedrive (full training given)
- assistance with proposal prep and bids (with director assistance)
- CRM
- maintaining awards diary
- maintaining and reminders re industry events diary
Director support:
- diary management, research, travel, insurance, landlord comms
- help with personal life admin and to-dos
Team/HR support:
- organising training
- holiday/absence tracker
- H&S, updating staff handbook, inductions
- assistance with recruitment, organising interviews
- overseeing studio interns
- assistance issuing staff contracts
- diarising appraisal system
- arranging socials and gifts
Studio support:
- stationery, maintaining stock, post office
- CPD coordination
- IT/printer liaison
- prepare for client meetings, organising/dressing the studio
- making sure we have coffee pods/tea and other studio bits
- recycling and eco-conscious practices
Personal skills:
- highly motivated, proactive and driven

Skills and experience required:
- background in a similar action-oriented role
- ideally within the creative/design industries
- someone with at least three years experience in a similar role; this could be your second/third job as studio manager, PA, similar office/studio admin role
- proven experience of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- good working knowledge of Adobe InDesign beneficial or willingness to learn

- a part-time basis would be a minimum of 20 to 24 hours per week, with the option of distributing the hours over three to five days a week

Our studio
We work from a stylish studio in Queen’s Park in London (NW6) on Lonsdale Road, with lots of buzzy restaurants, cafes, other architect and designer ateliers and workshops. We’re a happy, friendly place to work and you’d be joining a team of highly creative interior designers, graphic designers working across F&B, hotel and F&B projects. A great bunch of people who love what they do.
