Kanda is seeking an account executive to join its team in London.

About Kanda

Kanda is a dynamic and exciting place to work. We are a multidisciplinary communications agency that focuses on the world of planning and regeneration. We work with developers, local authorities, housing associations and charities to provide a range of services in the spheres of politics, policy and consultation. We provide strategic advice and political counsel, deliver community engagement strategies, digital and consultation content, as well as undertaking social value assessments and shaping regeneration programmes.

About the role

We are looking to hire account executives to work across the business on projects in and out London, and across the UK.

As an account executive, you will be supporting the team by carrying out the following tasks:

  • attending events involving a diverse range of communities including fun days, school and youth events, resident meeting, business forums, door knocking and exhibitions
  • social and community based research
  • social media and website content writing
  • drafting consultation and communication materials
  • event management
  • report writing
  • preparing media monitoring reports
  • preparing new business research and contributing to proposals
  • compiling and updating event invitation lists
  • attending meetings project meetings
  • other ad-hoc tasks to support the team

About you

You will have an interest in people and places, campaigning or community engagement and excellent copywriting skills. You will be well organised and have a can-do attitude. Knowledge of planning or politics is not expected.

Kanda is a flexible working employer, applicants selected to work in our outer London and regions practice will need a full driving license and access to a car on account of the travel involved.

Salary and reporting

This is a full-time, permanent role, subject to a three-month probationary period.

Starting salary: £25,642 in line with the London Living Wage (depending on experience).

The working hours are 37.5 hours per week.
