Communications coordinator
at Tate+Co
Tate + Co is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented communications coordinator to join its team in London.
The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational and communication skills, be proficient in social media platforms and have a passion for marketing. Responsibilities include creating engaging content, managing social media accounts and assisting with event planning. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build their experience in marketing and gain hands-on experience in an architecture practice. Experience in a similar role within the built environment is desirable, but not essential.
Job responsibilities:
- manage the communications planner
- collaborate with architects to gather key talking points for comms and social media
- facilitate internal communications within Tate + Co regarding PR and communications
- liaise with external PR consultant for day-to-day coordination of external communications with regards to press and PR
Digital media:
- maintain a social media presence aligned with the marketing strategy written by the directors
- oversee content for practice newsletter (Mailerlite) and social media platforms (Instagram, X (previously Twitter), Threads, LinkedIn)
- produce social media analytics reports
- write and update website content (WordPress) and coordinate with web designer on updates
- maintain a bank of images/content for website and social media
Collateral:
- with input and support from architects, proofread copy and edit images for press releases, articles and website content
- assist with the production of press releases which are generally written by the architects and our PR consultant
- maintain consistent tone of voice in all copy and ensure marketing materials are up to date
Awards and events:
- manage awards calendar, produce or manage the production of materials for submissions
- assist the directors in organising events: coordinate with the venue, prepare newsletter invite, set up Eventbrite page, create social media assets, promote on social media.
Project tenders:
- review project tender portals for any suitable opportunities
- assist the architects with writing project tender submissions
Skills and abilities:
- digital media experience and prior experience with external PR/consultants is desirable
- graphic design skills, social media and website content management
- excellent written and oral communication skills
- work to a high level of accuracy and with strong attention to detail
IT and software:
- essential: Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Microsoft Office 365
- desirable: Mailerlite, WordPress, CMS, Google Analytics, social media scheduling platforms
- as a company we provide software training as required
We anticipate the job will be a part-time role of two to three days per week, however we are open to other options. Hours are 9.30am to 6pm.
