Residential interior design technician
G.A Design is looking for a residential interior design technician to join its London team.
G.A Residential specialises in high-end interiors and deals with exciting projects for private clients and residential developers and in the UK and internationally. We are currently recruiting for a full-time permanent interior design technician to join our London-based residential design team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the project team with design development and interior design fit out documentation as well as contribute to presentations.
The ideal candidate will hold a related qualification and be confident in producing detailed interior fit out drawings and specification packages including finishes, sanitary ware, joinery, ironmongery etc., picking up a project from concept and taking it through to completion as well as coordinating with other team members and external consultants. Candidates should ideally have five years’ or more experience of detailing interiors and will have excellent technical knowledge, drafting skills and written communication skills.
The interior design technician must have a good understanding of an overall residential interior design project programme, documentation requirements at every stage and the construction process. An excellent knowledge of AutoCAD, Photoshop/illustrator and SketchUp is essential. A good knowledge of InDesign and PowerPoint is desirable.
