About The Studios
The Department Store Studios is a co-working space in the heart of Brixton. We offer our members not only a space to work, but also to grow, create, collaborate, learn, and socialise. Offering beautifully designed co-working spaces and private studios, with access to fully serviced social and meeting areas, The Studios is also home to Bellefields, a neighbourhood cafe and screening room.
We are looking for an office and member manager to be the face of the studios and take on the day-to-day running of the co-working space.
The role includes the following and more:
- looking after our members and being their first contact and problem-solver
- administering the management software
- onboarding new members
- creating a welcoming and sociable environment
- helping to devise and promote social, education and networking events
- maintaining the Studios social media accounts
- increasing member retention rates through outstanding service provision
- conducting tours of the building for potential new members
- ensuring the spaces are clean
- keeping the consumables stocked
- helping on reception
- supervising meeting room bookings
Skills/experience
The ideal candidate will be confident and outgoing, with a genuine interest in getting to know people and being sociable. The office and member manager will be building relationships with our members to drive the community dynamics, as well as to deliver outstanding customer service. You may, therefore, be someone from a customer-orientated, retail or hospitality background who is looking for a new challenge. You will be social media savvy as you will be responsible for updating the Studios’ accounts, and confident with IT to work on the customer database and ensure successful administration of the management software. We are looking for someone fun but also ambitious and level-headed, who is willing to roll their sleeves up and get involved, to drive the studios forward with us and achieve a fantastic place to work and play.
