This position is a full-time office-based role in Kensal Green with immediate availability.

Role summary
Pat Giddens is based in Kensal Green, now looking for a dynamic project manager. You will manage all aspects of client projects from consultation through to production and installation. Working with interior designers, architects and private clients on developing schemes and giving advice on window dressings and soft furnishings. Mainly responsible but not limited to overseeing production, working closely with workshop team members, coordinating with suppliers and liaising with clients.
We are looking for a dynamic and creative individual with interior design skills/interest and experience to support their application. The role includes the management of specialist jobs. Therefore, the candidate will be required to have a methodical and procedural-driven approach. The position requires exceptional administration and numeracy skills with a keen eye for detail. The chosen candidate will be creative as well as highly organised with a willingness to try new things and drive the business forward. A good knowledge of textiles and design trends is also important.
Key responsibilities:
- direct report to the office manager and the managing director working with designers, architects and private clients requiring a full design service and fabric specification
- manage all aspects of bespoke projects from consultation through to installation
- develop schemes and propose fabrics for clients, order fabrics, hardware elements and accessories for projects
- develop schemes and mood boards and present to clients in a confident and professional manner
- conduct site visits and measuring for client projects along with fitting team
- create estimates and invoices using systems Ace and Xero
- raise purchase orders and worksheets for each order and job
- pay supplier proforma invoices and provide bookkeeper record of these invoices
- update production schedule and distribute to production team
- develop a close working relationship with production and fitting teams, ensuring they have all the required information
- adhering closely to budgets and managing cash flow
- monitor production and finished goods for quality assurance and update records and teams where necessary
- monitor prices of regularly ordered products and review/update suppliers list and costing systems
- update and maintain diary system for measuring and fitting appointments
- book travel and accommodation arrangements for projects as and when required
- update, maintain and organise fabric library, keep workspace and reception area tidy and hazard free
- working closely with the office manager to assist in the smooth functioning and driving of the business
Skills and expertise:
- excellent communication skills (written, verbal, presentation)
- confident user of Microsoft suite and software in general
- good numeracy and analytical skills and business acumen
- experience in scoping projects, briefing internal teams, and managing projects to completion
- efficient, organised and detail-oriented
- enthusiastic and proactive team player

- be solution-focused with a ‘can-do’ attitude
