Assistant showroom manager
at SCP
SCP is looking for an assistant showroom manager to join its team in London.
In this role, you will assist the head of retail with the day-to-day running of the showroom, overseeing the retail sales team and ensuring that the company procedures are followed and operating standards are met. You must produce regular department reports and feedback for senior management to review.
The role:
- oversee the opening and closing of the showroom
- assist the head of retail with overseeing the showroom and eCommerce teams
- respond to customer enquiries
- generate customer orders and quotations
- liaise with accounts, buying, marketing and production teams
- update and chase customers
- process till and bank payments
- maintain display and showroom stock levels
- assist with planning and installation of new showroom layouts and events
- manage/arrange for product training for staff
- generate and present sales reports to senior managers
- propose
- five days a week, Monday through Sunday

The person:
- ambition to develop within retail
- two-plus years of experience within the furniture industry
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- proficient with EPOS systems and Microsoft Office
- good understanding of profitability, budgets and retail money processes
- strategic, organised and good leadership skills
- an aptitude to work across a variety of tasks
- creative thinker who is proactive and enthusiastic in taking initiatives
- interest in the design industry
