Mid-weight graphic designer

Eric Parry Architects is looking for a mid-weight graphic designer for a 12-month contract to join its team in London, UK.

The role
As a mid-weight graphic designer at Eric Parry Architects, you will be a part of the in-house graphic design team. With a passion for the creative process, the team prides itself on producing visually stunning designs. You will be a key contributor in creating graphic designs and content for bids and competition proposals, marketing collateral, social media and our company website. You will collaborate with our marketing and communications manager, events lead and the architectural teams.
Key responsibilities
PR and graphics
- maintaining marketing collateral like brochures, case studies and website updates
- be a brand guardian, providing a consistency of style and tone across all marketing channels
- creating visually appealing bids and competition proposals
- support with award entries and graphic layouts
- assist with studio graphics and in-house exhibition and event design
- ensuring design and production deadlines are met with a high level of accuracy
- other ad-hoc design requirements such as invitations, events and photo editing
Internal team
- support the marketing and communications manager and our events lead
- contributing to wider team projects and goals
- clearly communicate ideas verbally, digitally and graphically
- collaborate with others to resolve issues
- assist in the development of junior team members
- complete timesheets accurately, in a timely manner
Practice activities
- uphold the reputation of the practice at all times
- lead on the design of bids, competitions and tender documents
- understanding of the contractual arrangements in place
- knowledge of printing costs
- read and understand the company safety policy and carry out their work in accordance with its requirements

Key skills and experience
- typically requires a degree or diploma in graphic design, visual comms or a related field or equivalent experience
- software proficiency – knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is essential
- previous experience within architecture
- effective communication skills; both verbal and visual skills to convey design concepts
- knowledge of graphic design trends
- ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
- proactive approach to work
- thoroughness and a quality driven approach
