Fynn Architects is hiring a remote freelance architect/senior architect to join its team in London.
Fynn Architects is looking for a talented remote freelance architect / senior architect to collaborate with us as we grow. We’re seeking someone with a thoughtful design approach and a strong portfolio of UK private residential work, particularly projects involving heritage homes.
Freelance, £35–£40 per hour, depending on experience.
Remote, so you can work from home, but be based in London for site visits.
About Fynn Architects
We are a small, RIBA-chartered architecture and interiors practice, led by Theo Jones. We specialise in sustainable renovations and extensions to heritage homes in London. We value clarity, sustainability and ethical practice.
Our work focuses on creating high-quality, low-impact homes. We enjoy working with natural materials, historic fabric, and skilled craftspeople. We work closely with private clients through all RIBA stages, developing clear, well-considered proposals that balance design with buildability.
About you
You take pride in both ideas and execution. You’ve worked on UK heritage private residential projects and can show us your thinking through clear drawings and well-judged details.
We’d love to work with someone who:
- has strong UK heritage private residential experience
- has experience with listed buildings and conservation areas
- is based in London, for ease of site visits
- is confident in producing drawings for planning and tender
- understands the nuances of working with existing buildings
- has good knowledge of planning policy and building regulations
- is experienced in Rhino for 2D and 3D
- works independently as a freelancer
- cares about sustainability
- appreciates a Vola tap
What we’re offering:
- a freelance role, paid at £35–£40/hour depending on experience
