TateHindle is hiring a project architect to join its team in London.
TateHindle is actively seeking a talented project architect with approximately seven plus years’ experience to join our growing team and contribute to a range of residential projects. This is a unique opportunity for a motivated individual to take a lead role in shaping high-profile schemes across a variety of scales and stages.
TateHindle is an award-winning architecture and design practice based in London, with a vision to positively evolve every place we engage with. We operate as an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT), which fosters a collaborative and sustainable working culture developed over multiple generations. Our collaborative approach is central to how we deliver thoughtful, high-quality design solutions.
The role involves working closely with the design director and associate to lead the coordination of residential and masterplanning projects. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the project, overseeing teams, and providing guidance and support to junior staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in low-density residential architecture and urban design, and a passion for delivering innovative, sustainable environments.
Our portfolio spans a wide range of work – from town centre regeneration and urban extensions to new settlements – offering the opportunity to deepen your experience across a variety of planning stages and project scales.
We’re looking for someone who brings not only strong design skills and experience, but also a genuine passion for creating meaningful, place-led architecture and masterplans.

We’ve looking for a committed individual who has:
- experience in the design development of mixed-use residential and masterplanning projects
- a collaborative approach to design
- confidence in client-facing environments and stakeholder/public engagement
- the ability to manage internal and consultant teams/coordinate information on several projects
- the ability to oversee all aspects of a project; whether managing, 3D modelling, sketching, or compiling and writing reports/presentations
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- experience of preparing outline and detailed planning applications in the UK
- experience of preparing design codes
- excellent time management and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines
- keen interest in sustainability and new trends in residential design
- high levels of team spirit with a collaborative and positive approach
- proficiency in Revit, the Adobe Suite and SketchUp
