Fabrication Facility is seeking a junior designer to join its team in London.

Operating from our London HQ and our dedicated Foundry and Fabrication facility in Cornwall, we support clients in the UK and internationally.
The role
We are seeking a creative and technically skilled junior designer to join our team in South London, where we specialise in turning creative ideas into reality through innovative design and precise craftsmanship.
You will design for a range of requirements, using various CAD software packages to communicate clearly for ultimate success. Working closely with the design lead, you will understand project parameters, their stakeholders and methods of manufacture, and be involved with detailing, drawing and facilitating the production team.
Key responsibilities:
- collaboration: collaborate with senior designers and fabricators to develop creative concepts and design solutions
- drawings and visuals: produce detailed drawings and visuals for fabrication of a diverse range of projects using Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) and CAD software (ideally Rhino, Fusion 360, or SolidWorks)
- materials and processes: apply your knowledge of materials and fixing methods to ensure designs are practical and innovative, whilst building your material and process knowledge
- communication: communicate effectively with team members and clients to adapt designs based on feedback
About you:
- excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively and present design ideas to the team
- familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud and CAD software (Rhino, Fusion 360, or SolidWorks preferred)
- a good understanding of materials, fixing methods, and their applications in fabrication
- adaptable and flexible attitude to work effectively on a diverse range of projects
- strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
- a passion for hands-on work and bringing designs to life through fabrication
- ability to commute to Bellingham, SE London
