Christ & Gantenbein is seeking a project manager to join its team in Basel, Switzerland.
Christ & Gantenbein is an international practice dedicated to the broad realm of architecture. Founded in 1998 by Emanuel Christ and Christoph Gantenbein, and headquartered in Basel, Switzerland, the office employs a team of 100 architects from 20 countries. The firm’s most prominent completed projects include the expansion and transformation of the Swiss National Museum in Zurich and the extension of the Kunstmuseum Basel, both cultural landmarks with a global reach.
To join our headquarters in Basel we are looking for a project manager excecution M/F/D 100%.
You have a degree in architecture and professional experience executing complex projects as a project manager of sub-project manager.
You will a project team, plan your projects’ design and develop architectural and constructive solutions in cooperation with our team and external specialist and consultants. You can take on complex tasks and structure them independently. As a team player, your experience and sound judgment enable you to prioritize, initiate and follow up processing steps in a phase appropriate manner. You combine a high level of architectural sensitivity and technical/constructive understanding with strong leadership qualities.
With your exemplary, hands-on working style and your high level of intercultural competence, you inspire your project team just as much as you inspire external project partners. You want to help shape the entire process of creating architecture and lead it with confidence: From the architectural form-finding and coordination of the various planning disciplines to the materialization and decoration, to the structural implementation. You communicate with all project participants professionally and can convey the developed architectural approaches and constructive solutions right through to the execution on the building site. You appreciate the liveliness of a creative environment and demonstrate a high degree of flexibility in project assignments. An excellent command of English (oral and written) is a prerequisite. Knowledge of execution planning of projects in the UK as well as sound knowledge of German and execution planning of 3D-coordinated projects are a plus.
