Cousins & Cousins is hiring a Part 1 architectural assistant to join its practice in London.
Cousins & Cousins is a busy 18 person practice based in Camden requiring an enthusiastic and talented Part 1 architectural assistant to work on a variety of interesting projects from September 2020 for one to two years.
Responsibilities include:
- drawing and sketching design solutions by hand
- developing schemes using 2D and 3D using Microstation, Rhino and sketch up
- producing 3D images with rendering packages
- creating 3D physical models
- preparing reports and design presentations
- participating in design debates
- researching products, materials, buildings etc as directed
Applicants should have great communication and organisational skills with the ability to show initiative and flexibility as well as being a strong team member.
Cousins & Cousins is a friendly office and we welcome applicants that are keen to become part of the office’s cultural life. Part 1 team members are involved in a variety of work, from concept design, model making, project delivery to procurement and improving office systems.
Essential skills:
- fluent user of Adobe Creative Suite
- proficiency in SketchUp and other 3D CAD packages and rendering packages
- proven abilities in physical model making
- eligibility to work in the UK
Desirable skills:
- experience with Microstation would be highly beneficial, but not essential
