Dezeen, the world’s most influential online architecture and design magazine, is seeking an experienced deputy editor to join its award-winning editorial team in London.
We’re looking for a talented writer and editor to help us set the global agenda for architecture and design.
Working closely with the Dezeen editor, you will provide leadership to our team of journalists, helping us to deliver original news stories, in-depth features and engaging interviews.
You will be responsible for commissioning and editing content, managing our features calendar and assisting with paid-for editorial.
You need to be able to thrive in a fast-paced editorial environment, and have at least two years experience in a similar role.
You must have exceptional writing and subbing skills, and up-to-date knowledge of how to optimise content for the web. Excellent standards of written English are essential, as well as an ability to work quickly and accurately.
You must have good organisational skills and be confident managing a team. You will also need a working knowledge of the architecture and design industry, with good international contacts.
We expect all candidates to have some experience using Google Analytics, and previous use of a CMS is also valuable. Proficiency in Photoshop would be a bonus, but is not essential.
How to apply:
Please submit a CV, covering letter, salary expectations and writing samples, addressed to Amy Frearson.
Due to the anticipated volume of applications, we regretfully will only respond to candidates selected for interview.
