Gustafson Porter + Bowman is seeking an experienced landscape architect to join its practice in London.
Gustafson Porter + Bowman is an award-winning leading landscape architecture practice which has received public acclaim for creating authentically engaging spaces. We have several new and exciting projects just starting, as well as competitions in Europe and the Middle East, and are looking for an experienced landscape architect, or an architect with landscape experience, to join our friendly, sociable, hard-working and collaborative team in our studio near Camden. This is an exciting time in the landscape industry and for our practice, and the successful candidate will play an important role in helping us to push our ambitions and deliverables to the next level.
Essential skills and experience:
- three+ years post-graduation
- professionally qualified landscape architect, or architect (or on pathway to Chartership or Part-III)
- high level of English language skills (both written and oral)
- proficiency in all relevant software packages (AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Microsoft Office, and also preferably Rhino and/or Revit)
- demonstrable experience of the day-to-day running of a small-medium-sized landscape architecture project, under the support and supervision of a senior
- confidence liaising with clients, contractors and other professionals, and the ability to develop strong relationships with them
- self-motivated with a collaborative team player approach, willing to assist others and share advice with the team
- ability to develop designs
- ability to prepare detail drawings
- plant knowledge in both temperate and tropical climates would be advantageous
