Studio Fuksas is seeking an intermediate architect to join its practice in Rome, Italy.

Job profile

Three-five years of experience architect, with proven expertise in solid documentation skills and following all of phases of design up detail-phases of architectural design up to construction in coordination with engineering application into full completion process. Work and support to carry all instances of the project. Coordinate the development and package documentation for stages submission to authorities and other consultants.  Coordinate plans and specifications with multidisciplinary teams and required quality expectations and coordinated deadlines. Report all instances of design submission approvals and in direct communication with principals.

Key responsibilities:

  • follow up of all instances of the design process from inception through concept, schematic design, detail design to ensure quality and client satisfaction
  • coordinating with design leadership across offices to ensure best practice is achieved and the highest quality outcomes are delivered to clients. Excellent communication skills are essential
  • report to project manager and design team prior and post-project deadlines in order to meet the required content requested and advancement per phase expected. Organisational skills are highly appreciated (strong communicator with ability to manage fast-moving projects and deadlines)
  • ability to manage complex design-technical aspects within simultaneous areas of large-scale project in coordination with other involved teams
  • implement and follow-up of quality control-quality assurance protocols at submittals and delivery documentation, with accuracy and structured methodologic discipline

Qualifications and skills:

  • bachelor’s degree in architecture/engineering architecture master’s degree, or equivalent experience
  • ability to manage complex design-technical aspects within simultaneous areas of large-scale project in coordination with other involved teams
  • construction experience and detailing knowledge and implementation is required
  • high level of proficiency in current versions of Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office
  • ability to work independently, and to manage multiple tasks and projects under constant deadlines
  • ability to anticipate, identify and resolve problems in a timely and positive manner and organised methodology
  • self-motivated with ability to develop work and process of production with minimal supervision. Demonstrate commitment to the multidisciplinary project development process and team-focused environment
  • proficient in AutoCAD, Revit (BIM User or operational level) and Adobe Suite is expected
  • excellent English oral, written communication skills are must. Other languages are considered advantageous)
