Dezeen is looking for a talented architecture and design journalist to join its new subscription service.

Dezeen is the world’s most influential online architecture, interiors and design magazine.

We are launching a new subscription service underpinned by a new stream of premium content that provides rigorous analysis and deeper insight to Dezeen’s core professional audience of architects and designers around the world.

We are looking for a driven and curious reporter to write content for this new editorial offering.

Key responsibilities include:

• researching and writing daily content, including analytical features and insight-driven articles for subscribers
• supporting the subscription editor in managing the editorial pipeline, pitching story ideas and assembling content for publication
• keeping a close eye on industry trends, business moves and professional tools to find unique angles and exclusive stories
• conducting interviews with leading architects, designers and industry stakeholders
• working closely with the subscription editor to promote the service, build a dedicated audience and drive subscriber retention

The successful candidate will have:

• at least three years of experience in journalism, preferably writing about architecture and design
• outstanding writing skills, with experience producing high-quality journalism about design and architecture
• a strong interest in and knowledge of the global architecture, design and related creative industries
• a proven ability to pitch compelling story ideas, secure interviews and write engaging copy
• experience working in a dynamic, digital-first newsroom environment and managing multiple deadlines
• experience with online publishing and analytics tools

The subscription reporter will report to Dezeen’s subscription editor.

This is a full-time position based at Dezeen’s office in Hoxton, London, UK. We offer flexible and remote working opportunities to our team.

Salary: £32,000 per annum
