The Yale School of Architecture has a vacancy for an assistant professor in Architectural Design (tenure-track or renewable adjunct) to join its team in New Haven, USA.
The Yale School of Architecture invites applications for an appointment in Architectural Design at the assistant professor rank, either tenure-track or renewable adjunct, depending on qualifications. Start dates may be as early as July 1 2023 and no later than January 1 2024.
Candidates must hold a professional degree in architecture or a directly-related equivalent, earned by the start of the appointment. They must have a strong background in teaching, and must demonstrate promise in producing ongoing original high-quality work in practice. The successful candidate will teach graduate design studios, lectures, or seminars that draw from the candidate’s design and research interests in one of YSOA’s four distribution areas – Design and Visualization; History and Theory, Technology and Practice; or Urbanism and Landscape. The candidate may also teach architecture courses as part of Yale College’s undergraduate architecture major. In addition to teaching, the successful candidate will advise graduate students, serve on school and university committees, and participate in the school’s vibrant community programming.
