Mint is hiring a graphic designer/gallery assistant to join its team in London.

Mint, a renowned contemporary design gallery known for its cutting-edge curation of avant-garde and collectible design, is seeking a proactive and creative graphic designer/gallery assistant to join our small but dynamic team. This position is ideal for a design graduate with a keen eye for detail and a passion for contemporary design, who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment.

Starting in August, you will play a pivotal role in both the visual communications of the gallery and the day-to-day running of our showroom, contributing to exhibitions, digital design, and visitor engagement.

Key responsibilities:

  • create visually compelling digital and print brand assets, including event invitations, promotional cards and monthly newsletters
  • manage and update the Mint website with new products, news, and exhibition details
  • develop engaging social media content (Instagram posts, stories, and reels) that reflects the gallery’s tone and aesthetic
  • assist with press releases and media materials and small admin tasks
  • maintain and organise the gallery’s digital archive and photography collection
  • contribute to exhibition planning by writing and editing artwork captions, artist bios, statements and window vinyls
  • attend and support public and private gallery events
  • welcome and assist clients, designers, and visitors, providing insight into the gallery’s collections and exhibitions
  • ensure the gallery space is consistently presentable, including light cleaning, tidying, and display adjustments
  • support the preparation, setup, and dismantling of exhibitions, including handling and packing of works

Essential skills and experience:

  • a degree in graphic design, or a design-related field (or equivalent professional experience)
  • strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop; AutoCAD knowledge is a plus
  • proficiency with WordPress or Shopify
  • excellent visual communication
  • confidence in dealing with press, with clear and professional communication skills
  • organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask
  • a proactive, hands-on attitude and willingness to support a small team across a range of creative and practical tasks
  • interest in contemporary design, craftsmanship, and emerging design trends
