Ravensbourne University is hiring a technical tutor to join its architecture faculty in London.
The technical tutor performs a dual role in which they split their time between providing excellent technical tuition in Ravensbourne’s architecture and built environment courses, and providing technical support in, and contributing to the day-to-day running of, the University’s Prototyping Workshop. Technical tuition can take a variety of forms such as technical classes, workshops, skills training sessions and one-to-one tuition. Although not responsible for the curriculum, the technical tutor will draw on their expertise to collaborate with the relevant academic team on it.
The post holder will take ownership of the workshop and teaching resources to ensure they are maintained to a high standard and will strive to provide technical facilities that are functional, accessible and well presented.
They will take an active role in the safe operation of the workshop, the delivery of health and safety inductions and ensuring that best working practices are at the core of their technical area.
