Business development executive

Design International is hiring a business development executive to join its team in London.
Central London office.
Salary range: £35,000 to £55,000 depending on experience
Hybrid role worked over a 4.5 day working week (1.00pm Friday finish).

We are Design International, an award-winning architectural practice renowned for our truly innovative designs in over 40 countries, brought to life in the creation of retail, leisure, hospitality and offices, where our designs deliver breathing spaces that bring and bond people together.
As we continue to expand our international footprint, we are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Executive to join our dynamic architectural practice to help drive strategic growth and nurture key relationships across diverse markets.
In particular you will:
- have developed and executed an international development strategy, aligned with businesses global vision and market positioning
- have a proven background in business development, preferably from within architecture, construction, or the design industry
- be able to demonstrate how you have identified new business opportunities across the UK and International markets, building and nurturing client relationships, which has driven growth through strategic partnerships and market expansion
- want to play a key role in the wider Marketing & Sales team in London
We are looking for a practical, but strategic thinker with a keen interest in architecture and development, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, global environment. You will bring a strong understanding of global procurement processes, cultural nuances and commercial strategies from your experience in business development.
You’ll need to be a natural team player with exceptional negotiation skills and a proven ability to build long term client relationships. A natural communicator – in all its forms, you’ll adapt to your audience and the demands of the tasks in hand, ensuring you maintain and enhance our high standards of delivery coupled with a focus on business expansion.
