BIG is hiring a BIM specialist to join its team in London, UK.

Our London office currently has over 200 people and growing. We are seeking a BIM specialist to join our design technology team and support our project teams with the development, implementation and coordination of BIM processes. The right candidate will have strong Revit expertise, enjoy working at the intersection of design and technology, and thrive in a collaborative environment.

Join us if you are a BIM specialist who has:

  • minimum of three years’ professional experience using Revit as your primary BIM tool
  • advanced Revit skills, including Family Editor expertise
  • knowledge of architectural design and drawing set production
  • experience running 3D coordination and clash detection workflows in Navisworks or ACC
  • familiarity with industry BIM standards and requirements
  • a qualification as an architect, engineer, constructing architect, architectural technologist or equivalent
  • strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • a collaborative mindset and interest in sharing knowledge with colleagues

Desirable skills and experience:

  • interoperability tools: Rhino.Inside, Dynamo, Python / C#, Grasshopper
    Ideate Suite, BIM 360 / ACC (Docs and Design Collaboration modules), and CDE systems
  • familiarity with BEPs/EIRs, Data Classification (COBie, Uniclass, Uniformat, Masterformat etc.)
  • hands-on design and construction experience
  • interest in emerging technologies beyond BIM

Key responsibilities:

  • support project teams by sharing BIM expertise and troubleshooting day-to-day issues
  • develop, implement and improve BIM workflows within and beyond Revit
  • create and maintain project-specific and office-wide parametric content
  • lead 3D coordination tasks and model reviews, ensuring best practices are applied
  • train and mentor staff in Revit and related software
  • contribute to the development of BIM standards, libraries and digital processes across offices
