The Royal Academy of Arts is Britain’s first established art school. The independent artist-run institution was founded in London in 1768. The academy offers tuition from leading critics, writers and artists. The arts facility holds regular shows in its gallery space including the annual Summer Exhibition, which is the world’s largest open-submission art exhibition.
