Design studio assistant

Fredrikson Stallard is hiring a studio assistant to join its team in London.
Fredrikson Stallard is a leading London-based art and design practice founded in 2005. With their iconic sculpture and furniture, they have become synonymous with contemporary British art and collectible design.
We are looking for a highly motivated and ambitious individual to work on a range of projects, including sculptural works and design for our international client base.
The role incorporates elements of design and aspects of the day-to-day running of the studio. Applicants must be proactive, resourceful and highly organised with excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities include:
- creating 3D models in Rhino3D, including handling and altering large 3D scan files; utilising CAD for 2D technical production drawings; rendering visuals and video animations for client presentations
- working on image retouching using Adobe Suite
- general day-to-day running of the studio and workshops
- supporting the production team with research and dealing with suppliers
- helping with the physical making of artworks in the workshop; this includes working with wood, metal and resins
The essential requirements for applicants are:
- strong attention to detail
- confident personality and ability to communicate complex problems/solutions in an articulate manner
- ability to plan and multitask various jobs and projects under pressure, maintaining a calm, effective and common-sense attitude to work
- proficiency in Office 365, Rhino, KeyShot and Adobe Creative Suite
- driving license essential
- workshops skills/knowledge
- excellent spoken and written English
