Junior product designer
at Studio Ore

Studio Ore is hiring a junior product designer in London, UK.

About Studio Ore

Studio Ore was born from a simple vision: creating taps in unlacquered raw brass with an almost industrial look and living finish that would change over time. What started as one founder’s quest to create something that didn’t exist has grown into a rapidly expanding company specialising in contemporary and sustainable brass taps, bathroom fittings and architectural hardware.

We design and manufacture each product at our facilities in the UK and Italy, championing small-batch manufacture of brass taps, showers and fittings, each hand-finished with care. We deal directly with homeowners, designers and architects.

The opportunity

Studio Ore is entering an exciting phase of rapid growth, expanding beyond our acclaimed taps and showers to launch a comprehensive range of architectural hardware. We’re seeking an exceptional Junior Product Designer to join our London office and work directly with our founder and design director to shape the future of our product portfolio.

This is a unique opportunity to join a company that values craftsmanship, innovation, and the beauty of raw materials.

Key responsibilities

  • develop innovative architectural hardware designs that complement our existing brass tap and shower collections
  • create detailed technical drawings and 3D models using CAD software
  • collaborate directly with the design director on product development strategy
  • support the design process from initial concept through to manufacturing
  • ensure all designs meet our exacting standards for both aesthetics and functionality
  • contribute to the expansion of our product range while maintaining Studio Ore’s distinctive design language
  • work with our UK and Italian manufacturing teams to bring designs to life

Essential Requirements

Education and experience:

  • recent graduate in Product Design, Engineering, or related field
  • strong portfolio demonstrating design thinking and technical capability

Technical skills:

  • extremely confident user of CAD software (CREO preferred, but other platforms considered)
  • proficiency in 3D modeling and technical drawing
  • understanding of manufacturing processes, particularly metalworking and brass fabrication

Personal attributes:

  • exacting standards and unwavering attention to detail
  • drive to deliver the best possible designs and drawings
  • passion for craftsmanship and quality materials
  • ability to work directly with senior leadership
  • strong problem-solving skills and creative thinking
  • appreciation for industrial design aesthetics and living finishes

What we offer

  • direct mentorship from our founder and design director
  • opportunity to work on leading products in the market
  • involvement in the full product development cycle
  • collaborative environment where your ideas will be heard and valued
  • chance to work on products that are handcrafted, hand-finished, and designed to age beautifully

Why Studio Ore?

Join us in creating products that aren’t just functional—they’re designed to live and evolve. Every Studio Ore piece is hand-finished to specification, designed to live in beautiful, design-led spaces. You’ll be part of a team that believes in the power of direct relationships, exceptional craftsmanship, and designs that improve with age.

This role offers the rare opportunity to work closely with leadership while contributing to a company that’s redefining what architectural hardware can be. If you have exacting standards, exceptional CAD skills, and the drive to create products that will be treasured for generations, we want to hear from you.
