Bompas & Parr is seeking a junior/midweight designer to join its team in London.

This role will allow an ideas-led, visionary junior/mid-weight designer to turn innovative content into visual and stunning creative across a wide range of client and internal projects.

The role requires experience visualising large-scale branding projects, from creating visual languages, 3D rendering and animation, visual identities, to crafting logos, layout, photography, illustration, moving image, digital visuals and print production. A large part of this role focuses on image-making using various techniques and formats.

Objectives:

  • create innovative design for a wide range of clients and projects, ranging from 2D and 3D graphic design, film and digital content, primarily in the 3D space
  • generate and articulate ideas internally and externally with flair and passion
  • develop powerful visual aesthetics that are in keeping with the Bompas & Parr brand
  • keep up to date with the artistic and cultural landscape, and be able to translate that into a visual medium
  • be present throughout the design and production process, from design to on-site to ensure designs are executed at the expected standard

Core responsibilities:

  • generate all 2D and 3D visuals and artwork for client projects from concept to final delivery
  • assist in art direction and image making, creating concepts and treatments and production thereof
  • create visual documents for new business proposals and concept development presentations (Keynote, Powerpoint and Adobe Creative Suite)
  • create in-house graphic content for digital, press campaigns, social media and B&P-initiated event design collateral
  • work with the design director, and the wider studio team to create and set the future vision of the Bompas & Parr brand and aesthetics
  • seek innovation and inspiration to keep Bompas & Parr ahead of the field and share findings with the wider team

Essential experience:

  • knowledge of Rhino/AutoCAD or other similar 3D software with experience and example in crafting still and moving images in 3D environments
  • experience in creating and delivering a concept from ideation, through design development and into production and evaluation
  • a detail-oriented understanding of the real-world implications of design and build
  • knowledge and experience of full adobe creative suite (including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
  • ability to hand sketch and communicate quickly and effectively the design development process

Desirable experience:

  • the ideal candidate will ideally have some agency experience
  • presentation and client management skills and experience
  • live event experience
  • product and event photography experience
  • ability to balance work across several projects at pace
  • experience in film and moving image content production and/or management
  • additional experience with event, product and lifestyle photography is a bonus
  • familiarity with AI software and developing AI landscape

General:

  • to undertake any other duties as may be reasonably required
  • to be able to speak knowledgeably and articulately about all aspects of the work of Bompas & Parr and to support the organisation’s principal aims and objectives
  • to communicate regularly and effectively with the Directors and to seek support from appropriate staff at the earliest opportunity should problems arise

Please note, due to the nature of the role you will be expected to work occasional evenings and weekends. There may also be the requirement to travel internationally.
