Original Field of Architecture is hiring a Part 2/architect to join its team in Oxford, UK.
Original Field of Architecture is seeking a talented and ambitious Part 2 architectural assistant with at least three years of UK experience or a recently ARB registered Part 3 architect, to join our growing studio.
The practice delivers projects ranging from small homes to wider housing and regeneration work, as well as complex school and Oxford college schemes, often set within historic contexts. Inclusive design shapes each stage of the work, supported by a research-led process. Collaboration with landscape and lighting designers, artists and craftspeople is a regular part of project delivery.
The role offers involvement across all stages of the architectural process. Skills will develop through focused work on design, coordination and technical tasks.
The role suits someone who:
- works well with clients, authorities and colleagues
- coordinates projects and consultant teams with care
- applies clear design thinking with sound visual judgement
- shows attention to detail and practical problem solving
- has a solid understanding of technical and regulatory requirements, including Building Regulations and relevant planning policy
- uses AutoCAD, Rhino, Revit, Photoshop and InDesign with confidence
- works independently when needed and contributes to team efforts
- presents work with clarity
- has a proactive, organised and self-motivated approach to project work
