Central Bristol architectural practice seeking architectural technologist or architectural technician.

Salary: From £34,000 per year negotiable DOE
The practice
A well-established close-knit team of designers with an ever-growing client base, working across a broad array of projects, and an ever-growing commercial arm focusing on Hotel work, mixed use developments and student accommodation.
The role
The role will require a motivated, meticulous individual with excellent technical appreciation and attention to detail, working with long-standing clients and building relationships with new ones.
The primary focus of this role will be within our expanding commercial division, where you will take responsibility for the delivery of large-scale refurbishment projects. This will include translating client briefs, specifications, and design intent into fully coordinated refurbishment packages.
You will also provide support across other projects as required and assist project architects in the successful delivery of work. The role demands the ability to produce detailed technical design packages, alongside a strong working knowledge of UK Building Regulations and best-practice technical design standards.

Working from an open plan studio space in a converted historic building, you will be supported by a friendly and versatile team bringing together a wealth of knowledge and experience.
Offering a mixture of office working four days a week with the remaining day worked remotely.
Requirements:
- minimum five years’s post-qualification experience within the UK
- AutoCAD proficiency
- UK driving licence with own car
- experience working on UK based building regulations packages
- demonstrate high level of diligence, multitasking and organisational skills
- excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Main responsibilities:
- production and of technical working drawing packages
- production of large refurbishment packages
- measured site surveys
- managing other consultants and design coordination
- production of specifications and schedules
- supporting senior team members
- playing an active part in quality assurance
- working closely with contractors, fielding queries and problem solving
- assisting with project programming and managing timescales
- liaison with relevant authorities e.g. planning officers, building inspectors, utility providers etc.
