Openstudio Architects is looking for an experienced project architect to join its team in London.

We are a collaborative, female-led studio with a record of design excellence and a diverse range of projects, from schools to residential developments, to housing and houses.

We are seeking a confident and experienced architect to contribute to all stages of our projects, from early concept design through to technical design, coordination, and site delivery. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong design thinking, technical competence, and a commitment to high-quality architecture.

Skills and experience:

• minimum of five years’ experience in a UK architectural practice, with involvement in the delivery of high-quality buildings
• excellent design skills with a strong eye for detail and quality
• meticulous accuracy and a methodical approach to all aspects of work
• independent, logical thinker with strong problem-solving abilities
• professional pride, responsibility and ownership of their work
• strong presentation skills, able to communicate design ideas clearly and confidently, with a knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and InDesign
• highly organised, efficient and productive, with strong time-management skills
• ability to work autonomously, as well as collaboratively within a small team
• enthusiastic contributor to a culture of design excellence within the studio
• ability to work effectively with external consultants and project teams
• proficiency in Vectorworks for 3D modelling, following established studio protocols
• site experience and familiarity with construction processes and coordination
• solid understanding of construction materials, building techniques and high-quality detailing
• working knowledge of UK Building Regulations and relevant statutory requirements
• ability to write clearly, concisely and professionally for construction information, planning submissions, and client presentations
• high level of written and spoken English
• professional communication skills, both face-to-face and via email
