CNC technician
at Object Atelier
Object Atelier are looking for a CNC technician to join our small but ever-growing team in London.
The candidate should have at least two years of previous experience designing furniture and joinery packages for flatbed CNC. The candidate should be a highly motivated and enthusiastic person with a keen eye for detail.
- two years’ experience working on furniture and joinery packages for flatbed CNC
- a good knowledge of Solidworks and VCarve
- a good understanding of furniture manufacturing techniques
- be able to programme the CNC through VCarve
- schedule Object Atelier project work and schedule work that comes from Benchspace our communal workspace
- be able to multitask
- have a good understanding of materials and purchasing
- competent at altering drawings if problems are found within the VCarve drawings
- good knowledge of reading manufacturing drawings
- knowledge of working with different materials
- good communication skills
- able to take clear instructions from team leaders
- forward thinking
- ability to work in a small but growing company

As a small company, we would also need the candidate to be happy to adapt to the different roles within the company. Furniture making is the heart of what we do, and a tight connection between workshop and office is essential.
