Architect/experienced Part 2 assistant

Underscore Architecture is seeking an architect/experienced Part 2 assistant to join its team in London.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated candidate who is creative and passionate about design. The role will involve working collaboratively with a small team on a range of projects across all stages. Typical tasks and responsibilities will include developing concept design proposals and presentations, liaising with clients and consultants, preparing drawings for planning and building control submission, producing technical drawings for tender/construction and overseeing projects on site.

We’re interested to hear from candidates who possess the following skills/qualities:

  • self-motivation and enthusiasm
  • outstanding design and problem-solving skills
  • effective presentation and communication abilities
  • experience running projects at all stages
  • good technical understanding and working knowledge of building regulations and planning policy
  • experience in MicroStation, Sketchup, Enscape/V-Ray, Adobe InDesign and Photoshop is essential
  • excellent team working and time management skills
  • at least one year post-Part 2 experience

We offer a competitive salary package commensurate with your experience. Our working model includes a hybrid approach: four days in our office located at The Handbag Factory, 3 Loughborough Street, London SE11 5RB, and one day optional remote working giving flexibility.
