Junior visual and content production assistant (temporary contract)
at Scheme

Scheme is hiring a junior visual and content production assistant (temporary contract) to join its team in Brighton, UK.

About us

We are a curated interiors platform showcasing the brands, products and suppliers trusted by leading interior designers. Our focus is on quality, credibility and beautiful storytelling, helping design-conscious homeowners and professionals discover interior brands through designer endorsement.

Role overview

The junior visual and content production assistant will support the team by preparing, editing and organising visual assets for our website and social channels, ensuring everything is high-quality, consistent and on-brand.

This is an ideal opportunity for a graduate or junior candidate to gain hands-on experience in digital content production within the interiors industry, while learning how a fast-growing startup operates.

The role will also involve CMS and content uploads, supporting the wider team with ad-hoc and administrative tasks as required, so flexibility and a proactive, can-do approach are essential.

Key responsibilities:

  • edit and optimise product images for the website, including cropping, background cleanup, colour correction, retouching, and resizing
  • create simple visual assets for social media (posts, stories, reels covers, highlight icons, etc.)
  • ensure all visuals follow brand guidelines and maintain a consistent look and feel across platforms
  • upload, label, and organise image files within our CMS and shared asset libraries
  • support the content team with ad-hoc creative tasks such as mood boards, layout tweaks, and visual updates
  • assist with batch editing for large product uploads and seasonal content refreshes
  • adhoc day-to-day support with operations

Skills and experience:

  • basic experience in image editing using tools like Photoshop, Lightroom, Canva, or Figma
  • strong attention to detail – especially when working with product images and colour accuracy
  • ability to follow brand guidelines and replicate a visual style consistently
  • comfortable organising files, working with folders/libraries, and naming assets correctly
  • added bonus: a genuine interest in interiors, design, or lifestyle content (preferred but not required)
  • added bonus: previous experience in content creation, social visuals, or e-commerce product editing is a plus.

Contract details:

  • location: Brighton based
  • contract length: 12 weeks
  • hours: two days per week
  • location: remote/hybrid (will be expected to meet with the content team at least once a week – Brighton based)
  • compensation: daily rate £102
  • start date: immediate start

What we’re looking for

  • reliable, organised, and quick to learn
