Part 3 architect/interior architect
at MALIN+LYNN

MALIN+LYNN is hiring a Part 3 architect/interior architect to join its team in London.

MALIN+LYNN is a residential architecture and interiors practice specialising in high-end, truly bespoke homes across London. We manage projects from concept through to completion, allowing us to maintain a highly considered and detailed approach at every stage of design and delivery.

Due to an increasing workload, we are looking to expand our team with a talented Part 3 architect/interior architect with strong residential and interiors experience.

Location

MALIN+LYNN operates as a remote office. While our projects and operations are anchored in London, this role offers flexibility for remote working, with regular collaboration, meetings and site visits in London. This position is therefore ideally suited to candidates based in or near London.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Part 3 qualification (ARB registered) or equivalent Interior Architecture qualification
  • three to five years’ professional experience within a residential architecture practice, ideally London-based
  • proven interiors experience, particularly on high-end residential projects
  • experience working across all stages of a project, from concept and planning through to tender, construction and handover
  • good knowledge of UK Building Regulations, particularly relating to residential and interior fit-out works
  • strong technical ability and attention to detail
  • excellent skills in AutoCAD, SketchUp and rendering software
  • good working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
  • strong interiors specification knowledge, including materials, finishes, FF&E and bespoke joinery
  • excellent presentation, graphical and visual communication skills
  • confident verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • highly self-motivated, organised and able to work independently within a remote office structure
  • excellent time management skills and ability to meet demanding project deadlines

In addition, candidates should be able to:

  • develop and communicate design concepts through sketching, 3D modelling, 2D CAD drawings, mood boards and concept presentations
  • prepare and deliver high-quality client presentations and drawing packages
  • prepare and finalise material, finishes and FF&E specifications
  • produce detailed joinery and bespoke furniture drawings
  • liaise with suppliers, fabricators and manufacturers to procure specialist items
  • contact suppliers and obtain technical information, samples and pricing to support design development
  • communicate confidently with directors, senior designers, consultants and contractors
  • undertake regular site visits during construction (London-based projects)
