Sigmar is hiring a part-time senior interior designer to join its team in London.
High-end residential, technical delivery focus, London-based, hybrid (one day per week WFH), three to four days per week.

We deliver full interior and architectural design services, including FF&E, sourcing, procurement and styling, across the UK, Europe and the US. We are a close-knit, highly design-driven team based in the heart of London.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Interior Designer (Part-Time) to join the studio and take a key role in the technical and organisational delivery of our projects.
At Sigmar, we place a deliberate focus on the integration of vintage furniture as a cornerstone of our design approach. Our work is about curating spaces with an intuitive understanding of furniture design, manufacturing traditions and spatial flow.

The successful candidate must bring strong all-round technical capability, from architectural and construction-stage drawings to spatial planning and bespoke joinery design, ensuring that every element is thoughtfully integrated, fully resolved and buildable.
This position suits a technically highly capable designer seeking senior-level responsibility within a flexible working structure, while remaining fully embedded in studio life.
The role
You will be responsible for developing and coordinating projects from concept through to site, with a particular focus on bespoke joinery, construction detailing and technical coordination. Working closely with the Creative Director, contractors, consultants and workshops, you will ensure that design intent is translated into accurate, buildable and fully resolved packages.
This is a hands-on role requiring strong organisation, autonomy and confidence in managing complex technical information across multiple projects.
This is not a styling or concept-only role; applicants must be confident in producing and coordinating technical drawing packages for construction.
Key responsibilities:
- producing detailed technical drawing packages for construction, including bespoke joinery
- developing construction details and coordinating with architects, engineers and contractors
- preparing and managing FF&E schedules, finishes specifications and budgets (EstiMac)
- managing technical information, deadlines and deliverables across several projects
- liaising with workshops, suppliers and fabricators to resolve build details
- supporting design development where required, with primary responsibility for technical delivery
- acting as a key client contact and managing expectations
- maintaining Sigmar’s high standards of design quality and technical accuracy
About you:
- six to seven plus years’ experience in high-end residential interior design
- proven experience producing construction-stage drawing packages
- strong joinery and detailing knowledge
- confident coordinating with contractors and consultants
- highly organised, technically confident and experienced in resolving construction challenges
- comfortable working independently within a small, collaborative studio
- professional and confident in client-facing situations
Technical requirements:
- BA or MA in interior design or interior architecture
- right to work in the UK
- excellent written and spoken English
- advanced proficiency in Vectorworks, SketchUp, Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office
- strong experience with EstiMac, FF&E schedules, finishes specifications and budget control
- demonstrated experience delivering projects through construction, not just concept stage
Working pattern and package:
- part-time: three to four days per week (flexible by mutual agreement)
- hybrid: minimum two days in studio, one day working from home
- permanent contract following probation
