Technical designer
at Spacelab
Spacelab is seeking a technical designer to join its team in London.
We are looking for a Part 2/3 architect or architectural technician to join us on a full time permanent basis to work on a range of prestigious and exciting interior commercial projects and newly built residential schemes.

Key responsibilities:
- collaboration with internal team across all project stages
- advanced knowledge of Revit, including the ability to create construction/working drawings using Revit
- preparation of detailed scale drawings and specifications for regulatory approvals
- preparation of drawings for tender and construction
- preparation of detailed schedules of materials and finishes
- coordination between primary MEP/structural consultants
- liaising with consultants and coordinating full design packages
- working closely with contractors, fielding queries and problem solving
- ability to read and interpret design intent from concept visuals or sketches
- assisting in the coordination and management of projects, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met
Experience and skills:
- architecture/interior design degree or appropriate technician qualifications
- professional experience producing drawing packages and coordination with external consultants
- high technical skills with attention to detail
- can demonstrate a strong working knowledge of Revit
- ability to take initiative to solve technical issues
- confident to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- fluent in English, verbal and written
- a working knowledge of UK Building Systems, regulations and construction methods
- has excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage in client-facing situations confidently
- experience working with Enscape and other rendering packages is advantageous
- a keen interest in sustainable design
