Hope Dusek Architects is hiring a freelance architectural designer/assistant/technologist/newly qualified architect to join its team in London.

Hope Dusek Architects is a growing, design-led practice seeking a talented individual to join our team on a freelance basis. We are open to in an individual with a background as either an architectural designer, assistant, Architectural technologist/technician or newly qualified architect.

We are an agile studio working across a diverse portfolio of projects, including high-risk buildings, new-build residential schemes, extensions, and office developments. Our work combines thoughtful design with technical rigour, and we are looking to expand our network of freelancers to support our continued growth.

About the role

You will work closely with the practice on a project-by-project basis, contributing across different stages of design and delivery.

Depending on experience, responsibilities may include:

• supporting concept design, planning, and technical stages
• producing high-quality drawings, models, and presentation material
• assisting with coordination and technical detailing
• contributing to projects involving high-risk buildings and complex regulatory requirements
• working on a mix of new builds, extensions, and commercial/office projects

About you

We are looking for an individual who is:

• strong in design thinking with good technical awareness
• ideally experienced in Vectorworks, or interested in learning (training can be provided in-house)
• familiar with additional industry-standard software (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Suite, 3D modelling/rendering tools), which would be advantageous
• comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively
• organised, proactive, and able to meet deadlines
• interested in contributing to a growing practice and shaping its direction

Experience working on UK-based projects and familiarity with current Building Regulations (particularly in relation to high-risk buildings) would be advantageous.
