MUL-MAC is looking for a project designer to join its office in Los Angeles.

MUL-MAC is a full-service design and architecture firm, offering a range of services including architecture, interior design, project management, and entitlement/ land-use consulting. Our multi-disciplinary approach exposes us to a multitude of project typologies, and the opportunity for staff to gain experience in all manner of projects from concept through to construction.

We are in search of motivated, self-starting individuals who are comfortable owning projects, taking leadership and responsibility at all stages of the process.

Roles & responsibilities:

  • participate in all project phases, including conceptual designs, presentations, schematic design, design development, construction documents and construction administration
  • collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies and other vendors to meet overall project objectives
  • produce graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and construction drawings
  • utilize hand rendering techniques to communicate design concepts
  • licensure preferred but not required
  • coordination of project design
  • develop creative-design concepts for projects, and prepare presentation and design drawings
  • work independently on architectural design projects and coordinates project design efforts
  • develop planning and creative-design concepts for projects
  • prepare presentation and design drawings and details

Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of related project experience
  • state licensure, or desire to attain a plus
  • knowledge of materials, construction techniques and building codes
  • proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
  • proficiency in modeling using 2D/3D software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp
  • proficiency in Revit essential
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, or foreign equivalent
  • legal right to work in U.S
  • experience with coordinating and managing consultant engineers, technical detailing and obtaining agency approvals is required
  • salary is based on experience and abilities
