Remotely, London
High-risk building architect
at Hope Dusek Architects
There is a vacancy for a high-risk building architect at Hope Dusek Architects to join its team remotely.
Hope Dusek Architect is seeking a project architect to join our growing studio on an initial three-month fixed-term contract, with the opportunity to progress into a permanent role for the right candidate.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a practice with a strong reputation for technical excellence and industry-leading expertise in high-risk buildings, while also working across a broad range of residential, retrofit and technically demanding architectural projects throughout London and the surrounding area.
We are looking for a confident and technically capable ARB-registered architect, ideally with experience delivering or coordinating work on high-risk buildings, who is seeking a varied role with genuine responsibility, flexibility and long-term progression opportunities.
The role
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting and delivering work across high-risk building projects, while also becoming involved in wider architectural work across the studio.
This is a remote position, offering significant flexibility and autonomy. However, the role will require travel to project sites, consultant meetings, client meetings and other project-related appointments as required.
Responsibilities will include:
- supporting the delivery and coordination of high-risk building projects across multiple RIBA stages
- producing and reviewing technical and construction-stage information
- assisting with compliance, coordination and regulatory requirements relating to high-risk buildings
- working closely with consultants, contractors and wider project teams
- contributing to technical detailing, drawing packages and project delivery
- supporting wider studio work across residential, refurbishment and retrofit projects
- attending site visits, client meetings, consultant workshops and project reviews as required
- participating in project meetings, coordination and technical problem-solving
This is a wide-ranging and rewarding position offering exposure to technically complex work alongside broader architectural experience across a growing practice.
About you
We are looking for someone who is:
- ARB registered and RIBA qualified
- technically strong, organised and detail-oriented
- experienced in technical delivery and construction-stage information
- interested in, or experienced with, high-risk building legislation, compliance and coordination
- comfortable working independently within a remote working environment while managing site and meeting commitments
- proactive, collaborative and motivated to grow within a developing studio
- ideally experienced in residential, refurbishment or technically complex projects
- ideally a Vectorworks user, or willing to train and develop within our studio workflows
