Planet Contracting is looking for a specification manager to join its team in London.
New opportunity not to be missed! Planet are looking to recruit a specification manager. Based in our London showroom, you will be on a full time permanent contract, with a highly competitive salary of £30,000 – £50,000 per annum (dependant on experience) plus excellent benefits including bonus, pension, private medical cover, life insurance, mobile phone and laptop.
Planet is an industry leader in designing, manufacturing and installing creative interior demountable glass partitions, glazed doors, modular walls and architectural glazing solutions such as atriums, frameless curved glazing and freestanding glass.
We are a vibrant and forward looking national company who are looking to recruit a sociable, outgoing individual who enjoys meeting people, building contacts and developing strong client-business relationships. If you have a passion for architecture and interior design and would rather be out and about rather than sat behind a desk, then this is the role for you!
As specification manager you will spend the majority of your time either in our London showroom or out meeting architects and specifiers, promoting our products and services, and building and developing long term working bonds.
As our specification manager you will:
- quickly develop an in-depth knowledge and passion for our products and services
- respond to enquiries from architects and Specifiers in a quick and timely fashion
- carry out research to identify potential new clients and actively pursue new clientele opportunities
- proactively gain appointments with architects and specifiers, and create and deliver inspiring and persuasive presentations
- analyse client requirements on projects to prepare appropriate strategies and design solutions
- ensure client satisfaction at all times, ensuring issues are resolved in order to achieve repeat business, and ensure long term client relationships
- arrange and attend social events and represent the company
- keep up to date with products and services offered by both our company and our competitors
What we are looking for in our specification manager:
- a keen understanding and passion for architecture and interior design
- strong relationship building skills with the ability to relate to clients and influence at all levels
- analytical and problem-solving skills to develop creative and innovative solutions
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- good organisational skills, with experience of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines
- an understanding of the construction process and industry
- the ability to write NBS specifications
- the ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and database management systems
