Master planner - architect
Populous is seeking an experienced architect to join its London studio.
Your responsibilities will include strategic master planning on large scale, sports led mixed-use projects and you must, therefore, combine strong design sensibility with proven experience in this field. As an experienced master planner, you will collaborate with the architectural team in the initial design stages and the preparation of planning applications. We consider this a significant opportunity to assist with growing our master planning and residential capabilities.
Your knowledge, skills and experience will include:
- proven experience of working at RIBA stages two and three on large scale residential development and mixed use projects
- extensive working knowledge of the UK planning system, the GLA ‘London Plan’ planning policy and local residential standards
- sound written, visual and verbal communication skills to present ideas to clients, stakeholders and local authorities
- strong organisational skills with a proven record of delivering within tight timeframes and in large teams
- a genuine interest in the built environment and working knowledge of urban design issues
- proficiency in Revit is essential in addition to InDesign and other technical design packages. Knowledge of Microstation is an advantage
Working knowledge of retail, hotel and serviced apartment design is also desirable. Proficiency in Adobe Creative and Microsoft Office suites is assumed.
