Bergman & Mar is looking for a senior FF&E designer to join its studio in London.

Bergman & Mar are a unique design studio that embraces change and celebrates the variety, and we are looking for an equally passionate, hands-on, highly motivated, and creative, senior FF&E interior designer to join the team and help us grow the business further. You will head up Bergman & Mar’s FF&E delivery and work closely with the interior architects/designers and the wider team enriching all our commercial and residential projects.
A senior FF&E interior designer at Bergman & Mar is responsible for producing high-quality project design deliverables from concept generation to both FF&E specification and construction documents. They work directly with the design director and head of interior architecture on tasks and deliverables to ensure the facilitation of a project’s completion. They oversee multiple projects simultaneously and are responsible for their team that consists of designers from junior to senior levels.

Responsibilities and duties:
- incredibly diverse and up to date knowledge of furniture, lighting and art suppliers and their products
- creates, prepares and presents design concepts and works closely with the design director
- manages team workflow and efficiency
- responsible for FF&E budgets
- responsible for the development of the design and the project
- strong and eloquent negotiation skills combined with creative communication skills
- works independently, resourceful and solution-oriented
- continually searches for improvements for B&M procurement programme
Qualifications and skills:
- five plus years of experience in hospitality or residential design
- degree or equivalent in interior design or furniture design
- ability to present effectively
- ability to read and understand technical drawings
- experience in being part of a collaborative design environment
- knowledge of local and online showrooms and resources, industry trends
- thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic, creative environment
- passion or knowledge for product development
- experience working with furniture procurement agencies
Software requirements:
- professional-level Adobe Creative Suite software
- proficient in AutoCAD or Vectorworks
